Who am I?

Hi! My name is Seow Kiang, and my family name is Khoo. My name is written as Khoo Seow Kiang. Over here in Singapore, we write our family names first. In Chinese, my name is written as

My Chinese name is interpreted as follows:

So, I am "young and strong". Get it?

As you might have already guessed, I am a Singaporean-born Chinese. I came into this world in 1964. In the Chinese zodiac, this would be referred to as the Year of the Dragon.

I got happily married in September 1995. Gek Noi is the name of my lovely wife. She is an accountant by profession. She also cooks, does house work, goes marketing, etc., while I sleep. Quite rare, isn't it? :)

Khoo Junior was born on 21 Jul 1998 after an emergency Caesarian operation. Apparently, his heart beat was too fast and the doctor didn't like it one bit. Later, I was told that naughty Junior was shitting in Mommy's womb.

When Junior arrived, I spent so much time yakking to him that I forgot about his mother until the nurses reminded me :p

I spent 10 years in Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road) where I finished my PSLE and GCE 'O' Levels. I continued my education in Temasek Junior College where I finished my 'A' Levels. This was followed by two and a half years of National Service.

I then pursued a Chemical Engineering course in the National University of Singapore. I graduated in 1989 with a B. Eng (No Honors). I am currently working as a Chemical Engineer.

If any of you aspiring engineers would like to know how you might look like in the future, then take a look at the background. It shows a good looking engineer. Handsome, eh? Now, if that ain't enough, click here to have a better look at me! ;p

I surf the net almost every day. And I love to hear from anybody, everybody.... so send me an e-mail. I would be happy to hear from you. Now, look below here: that's our flag.

By the way, Singapore is NOT located in China. Singapore is at the tip of Malaysia. On the world atlas, we may probably be found as a dot on the map. Singapore is a very small and beautiful island.
